In my effort to a) have more fun marketing and b) just have more fun, I have embraced the world of Periscope. Have you heard of this App? It has been pretty big for a while now, but I am just jumping on board with it. Periscope is basically live, video chats. You can go on at literally any time of day and begin to talk into your camera (I use my I-pad). People can then join the chat and ask questions, comments and send you hearts. You do get the occasional troll who is wildly inappropriate, but you can easily blocks those guys.
If you are on Periscope, you can follow me by looking me up. My handle is @InnerAwesome. I have done 3 scopes so far, and I have to say I am loving them. They are short and sweet and super fun. In one of them, I don't even have make-up on at all. Who cares, I am delivering awesome sauce and that is what matters.
Here's the link if you want to learn more. By the way, have you check me out on Facebook? I post a ton of freebies over there. Here's the link to that one. Until next time...
Good morning everyone. It is a rainy day here in North Carolina. A perfect day for settling in and getting stuff done. The Full moon was a few days ago, and with it brought lots of inspiration for me. How about you? I don't claim to be completely synced up with moon cycles, but I have to say that this Full moon really brought up my stuff. You know the crap you don't want to deal with, so you brush it under the rug and pretend it doesn't exist until BOOM it hits you? That's the stuff.
So I was journaling like i always do, and I was talking with my guide team. I like to type a question on my computer, take a deep breath and let my guide team answer away. I get the most profound stuff that way. Anyway, so I was asking my guides why I keep "struggling" with my stuff. And being the ever awesome guides that they are, they told me. They told me that they wished I could see myself like they see me, as a beautiful, perfect and most divine being. They told me to lighten up and relax. They told me that I need to laugh, like a lot more. They told me that laughter lightens the energy and is truly healing. They also told me that I should consider recording a meditation.
So that is what I have done. I sat down yesterday and recorded a meditation to help you break through your struggles. You can listen to it here. There was no script for this. Just me being guided to help you. This is my gift for you to listen to. When you listen to this, make sure you have about 16 minutes undisturbed. This is deep work, and it can really assist you if you have something you have been struggling with (we all do).
So enjoy this, and let me know what you thought. Until next time...
Ever have those weeks where you are just gettin shit done? You are here, there and everywhere? You are on fire? That was me last week. I was super focused and getting visible in the world (via the internet). This week, not so much. This week I feel tired and unmotivated. As an entrepreneur, that isn't always the best place to be. But that is where I am.
One of the reasons I feel so freakin tired is social media. I have a love/hate relationship with it actually. I am fairly new to actually "marketing" myself on social media. But because I do all of my work remotely, I really do need to use Facebook and Instagram to attract my ideal clients; at least that is what everyone says. Which brings me to the point of this post.
Everyone has an opinion, and of course this is so. We are each unique and divine and all that. You have heard me say this a gazillion times. But if everyone has an opinion and everyone is unique and divine, then which opinion is "right"? Ah, there in lies the million dollar question. Some folks post their shit all over Facebook; you know the posts where they talk about making 6 figures in 6 months with a huge picture of their yacht. Others are posting on how it is all about building relationships and being open with your story in order to connect with your ideal clients; then people start sharing every, freaking, detail of their life on Facebook. Then there are those who pop in here and there and comment or like or offer you a freebie (I do that one actually). It is just all so overwhelming for me this week. And before you ask, I am not on my period, nor am I even pre-menstrual. I just feel like it is all too much sometimes. And so back to the point of this blog post.
Listen. Listen to your wise self. It is all well and good to share your story, your promos, your freebies, your picture, your whatever. But if you start to feel like it is all just too much for you, take a step back and just breathe for a bit. Maybe get off of Facebook. There are tons of folks who are NOT on social media all day. There are a lot of folks who are though. I know it is all too easy for me to scroll through posts for an hour and not even blink. What does your intuition tell you? That is what is important for you.
Let me bring up a point here before I continue. If you are new to marketing yourself and getting visible, you will feel the overwhelm from time to time. Posting your offers or even your picture can be scary and out of your comfort zone. That is however not what I am talking about here. I am talking about feeling overwhelmed by all the advise, guidance and opinions about what you "should" do on social media. I think that everyone has value and expertise. I think it is awesome when that value is shared. But ultimately you need to look within your own bad self to see how it feels. Does it feel super salesy, heart felt, arrogant, desperate, etc? It needs to feel just right for you. Cause honestly, if it doesn't feel right to you and you do it anyway, guess what? You will most likely get very little results from all that "hard work". And it'll feel like hard work.
I know that social media is an awesome way to connect with people. I have attracted clients through Facebook. Yay! Instagram has proven to be a fun, creative way for me to get my messages out there into the world wide web. But, if it starts to overwhelm you, take a break. Talk to real people in person. Do something different. Listen to your wise, unique divine self. Maybe for you, posting your wares looks very different than what it looks like for me. And thank goodness for that. I embrace the differences. Remember this is your life. You are in the driver's seat, and you choose what you do and don't do. It's all about the choices. I do love having the freedom to choose. So today, I choose some creative and playful fun. What do you choose? Until next time.
Good Monday morning everyone! I have been thinking lately about the kind of client I desire to serve, to help, to work with. I have also been pondering who I just don't want to serve. You hear about how important it is to know who your ideal client is, but I think it is just as important to know who you really just don't want to work with.
I believe that I will attract the most perfect women/clients for me. That is my intention; my focus. However, I want to be clear with myself, the Universe and prospective clients who I do not best serve. So, I created the picture below.
If you are in business for yourself, I think, know and feel it is important to be clear on who you work with, know your own strengths and weaknesses, and to love what you do. I know that I want to help women who truly want to change and create a better life for themselves. We all get stuck sometimes, but I want to work with women who are ready to discover (or re-discover) their Soul self. I want to work with women who know (at least on some level) that they are so very powerful, and that they can create any damn thing they want. I also want to work with women can laugh at themselves and not take everyone so darn serious.
So there you have it, who I do and do not serve. If you are curious about what I do and if I can help you, let's chat. I offer a FREE, no hassle 15 minute consultation. If you are ready, I would absolutely LOVE to work with you. Until next time...
