5/8/2014 0 Comments Flat ironing your curlsI receive many ideas and inspirations, like flashes, in the shower. I always have. I suppose for me, the shower is one of the only places I am left alone. I have kids you know. Today's inspiration helps in a super simple way explain about living your Divinity. We are going to talk hair for a minute.
Let's say you have really curly hair, but you don't want your hair to be curly because it isn't the fashion or maybe you were teased as a child for your curly, unruly hair. So now you spend either a ton of money straightening your hair, or maybe you spend a hour using a flat iron to get your hair just so. Or perhaps you dye your hair a completely different color, because you don't like your particular shade. You just aren't happy with how your hair looks. You want someone elses' hair color or texture. This reminds me of folks not living their Divinity (totally simplified of course). When you aren't living your Divinity, you do not fully embrace who you truly are. You change and mold yourself to be what YOU believe others want you to be. You make choices on what you think you should do, rather than what is the highest choices for your Divine Soul. You flat iron your glorious curls. Pretending to be someone you aren't takes its toll on your spirit, mind and body. In fact, you may have straightened your hair so much, you don't even remember what your "real" hair looks like. The same with your Divine self. You may have pretended, molded, changed yourself so much by the choices you have made, you just don't know who you truly are anymore. You have forgotten. Now I am not saying that straightening your hair is bad and changing the color is wrong. What I am saying is that when we truly allow ourselves to just be and experience life through our Divine blueprint of awesomeness, we will be living our highest, most authentic lives. We will be happier and healthier as well. Bonus! Instead of fighting the frizz, embrace it. Until next time...

5/1/2014 0 Comments How do you live your Divinity?I have found in my experiences that folks are afraid of what they don't know. If you say something about getting a "hunch" or a "gut feeling", then most people will nod in agreement and know what you mean. But if you say that you have an "intuition" or God forbid a "psychic" knowing, then all hell breaks loose. Even though, they all mean roughly the same thing. It's all in the semantics I have found. You see, I don't believe people are all that different. We want to be happy, live a good life, love our families, feel good..... Where we are different, in my opinion, is how we believe we can attain all the good things in life. Some people believe that we are here on Earth to "learn" and fulfill some sort of holy mission. Others believe we have no control over our lives, and that life happens to us. Still others feel that God directs everything we do, and if bad things "happen" to us, then that is some sort of punishment. Are any of these views wrong or right? I feel that whatever you believe will create your experiences. Truly. I believe in choice. I believe my true "purpose" for being on this planet at this time, is to fully experience my world through my most Divine self.
Well, what in the heck does that mean? Does that mean I sit around all day chanting and meditating? No. Does it mean I am always calm, peaceful, "holy"? Uh, not me. Does it mean I am always in a happy, loving mood? Just ask my husband about that one. Living in my Divinity means that I know who I am at SOUL level. I know my gifts, my talents, what I do easily and effortlessly. When you really know yourself from this higher place of awareness, you can begin to create your life around your strengths instead of swimming up river, struggling to be someone you are not. There is an absolute acceptance of yourself when you live your Divinity. There is an ease, a knowingness. You attract authentic people in your lives. Your life becomes more authentic, because you are making choices which are more aligned with who you really are. How do I know if I am living my Divinity? Look around you. Are you happy? Is your work fulfilling? Are your relationships authentic and loving? How's your health? Do you feel good? Your outer world will reflect your inner world. I will tell you that most folks are NOT living their Divinity for whatever reasons. Please remember that living your Divinity takes courage. Fear of the unknown is always a scary thing, but staying in a life where you are pretending to be someone you are not is a heck of a lot scarier. As I have said for years, we are each unique and Divine. We each hold within us the potential for greatness. Do you want to know who you are at Soul level? Book a session today with me, and we will find out. You can then begin creating the Divine life you deserve. Are you ready? |
