I have been busy these last few months. I have been quieting dreaming, plotting and creating something new and super awesome. What you ask? It all started with this thought that I needed to update my first published book called, A Mom's Guide to Sanity. I wrote this little gem when I was a stay at home mommy and quite frankly a little bored. So, I began the process of re-reading, editing and adding to my book. Check one for me because now it is is the publishing process. Yippee!!
Then I started thinking (uh oh), and I thought that it would be kind of cool to take A Mom's Guide to Sanity and turn it into a course of some kind. I had no idea how I was going to do this, but I like a good challenge so I thought "What the heck." I was perusing online like I sometimes do, and I found this great website called Udemy. It is a site that hosts all sorts of online courses. "Eureka!" I thought. This is what I am going to create next.
Many moons and many headaches later I created my first online course, and it is called (you guessed it) A Mom's Guide to Sanity. I am soooooo excited for this course to be published. I will certainly let the world know when it is live and ready for viewing. The process of creating this course was crae-crae. I am not super techie, and I have had to learn a whole bunch about filming myself, making sure the audio is good, lighting, wearing make-up (ugh), what colors to wear, how to look into a monitor camera and not freak out. And don't get me started about learning new software, audio recording, exporting, editing and and and. This process has been intense and awesome, because I never gave up. I decided on a goal and went for it. Oh and while I was at it, I have started a podcast called (yep you guessed it), A Mom's Guide to Sanity. Check it out on I-tunes.
It makes me think about this website and Finding Your Inner Awesome. It is having the courage and confidence to just freaking go for it! My inner awesome is all about having fun and truly helping people. What's your inner awesome? Until next time...
