11/20/2015 0 Comments Getting back in the gameThose of you who know me well, know that I have been trying to get back into the workforce in my own unique way. I have been "trying" to make money for quite a while, and I have not had much success. Boo hoo.
You see I am a healer, an intuitive one at that, and that is considered very woo-woo to the outside world. Most folks still believe that doctors and prescription drugs are the only way to heal. Not true at all. There is always, always an emotional, mental and spiritual component to any and all physical dis-ease. Sure, you need to address what the physical body needs, but if you take the time to look at what the underlying cause is, true and complete healing can occur. As you ready my previous post, I have come out of the closet with my authentic and awesome self, and I am now in full swing of stepping into my power and offering healings to the world. Taking the first steps toward your goals is hard. It feels scary and lonely, but I promise if you just take that one step in the most aligned direction for you, the next step may not feel so difficult. In fact, you might even enjoy it. Knowing that you are putting in effort, but working towards something awesome and perfectly aligned for you is a great feeling. So keep an eye out for all the things I am creating and putting out into the world. Big things are coming for me.......and for you if you take that first step into your power and authenticity. Until next time...

11/6/2015 0 Comments A Proclamation of sortsI always write about what I observe or experience in my own life, and sometimes it is hysterical. Right now is not one of those times. You see I have been dealing with low back pain for quite a while now, and I have to tell you it sucks eggs. I have been going to my Chiropractor who happens to be an Acupuncturist as well for months. And while it has helped, the pain keeps coming back (literally).
I am a practical person, but I also believe there is always an emotional and spiritual component to our health and healing, like always! This morning has been particularly bad for me, so I decided to do some journaling around this whole back issue once and for all. Isn't it funny how we wait for stuff to get real bad before we actually want to fix it for good? When I journal, I just open a pages document and start typing. I have developed this skill of writing for a while, then I ask my guides (my higher self, angels, God, creator, whatever) for assistance. I always get help when I do this. I am always pleasantly surprised by the guidance I receive. My guides told me this morning that I am not fully standing in my power, and I am not declaring to the world how I am a powerful and divine being. Hmmm......I thought. I feel like I am always putting myself "out there" trying to help people. But alas I suppose if I really stop and take a closer look, I am not. I am posting "safe" stuff on Facebook and in my blog articles. Apparently I care too much what other people think of me. Will folks think I am crazy or woo-woo? So today I proclaim to my world that I am woo-woo and so what? I have insights and wisdom and dagnabit I am okay with that. No more of this hiding bullshit. It isn't serving me, and it isn't serving the world. If you want to talk with me about the woo side of life, shoot me a note, cause I am not holding myself back (literally) any longer. Until next time... 11/3/2015 0 Comments Trying something newFinding your inner awesome can be as simple as trying something new. How many of us are in a rut, doing the same 'ol, same 'ol? Stepping ever so slightly out of our comfort zone and trying something brand new to us is a way of expanding who we are.
For instance, I am learning how to make my own sprouts. A simple thing to do really, but it is new and different to me. I daresay when I got my kit in the mail with all these bags of seeds, I felt a little flustered. But when I do something new, I gain experience. I also gain a sense of accomplishment and confidence I didn't have before. I am also beginning to make my own nut milks. Another easy enough task, but it is also something I have never done. By the way, homemade coconut milk is off the chain y'all. You gotta try it. My point here is not for you to make sprouts or nut milk from scratch. My point is to help you see that doing something, anything that is new and different will help you a) have some fun, b) learn something new, c) get you out of your day to day rut, d) help you discover a hidden strength or talent, or e) all of the above. Maybe trying something new and different will help you on your path towards finding your inner awesome. Our awesome shines from within and lights up the whole damn room. So shine bright my friends.
