It has been a while since my last blog post. I haven't felt particularly inspired to write lately, except for my journaling which I endeavor to do daily. I was writing (or should I say typing) today and this idea of the term "work" came to me. In all of my intuitive writing, I always come up with the truth that for me, my work has to be fun. There has to be some element of lightness and fun for ME to be prosperous.
But for some reason I get all bogged down in the seriousness of "working" and earning money. Serious....serious....serious. So guess what happens? Because I get so stinkin serious, I make little cash. Why I keep forgetting the "fun" aspect I just don't know. Perhaps it is ingrained in my brain that working needs to be this serious, non fun thing. God forbid I actually like what I do for the cash. How many people do you know who seem to suffer and hate what they do for a living? Maybe you are one of those folks who feels that you have no choice in what you do all day long, 40+ hours a week. Maybe you feel like you "have-to". There is no judgement in that, just an observation.
I truly wish folks would realize how much power they hold within to be, to create, to manifest everything they desire. I know there are people reading this blog who are rolling their eyes and thinking, "yeah, right". I would say that you have not realized your powerful, awesome self yet.
When I talk about liking what you do, or even, dare I say, loving what you do, I am not saying there is no effort involved or risk or scared shitless feelings involved. Oh no, on the contrary, stepping into your power, your awesomeness is probably the scariest thing one can do for themselves. Will your family and friends "get" it? Will you have the support of your family? Maybe, maybe not. It is scary to go out on a limb for your dreams. Is it worth it? You bet your ass it is worth it.
With the holiday season upon us, we tend to get caught up in the busy-ness of it all. We over spend, over indulge, over, over, over everything. However, as we look into the new year, I invite you to take some time and reflect on where you have been, what you have accomplished and what YOU choose to accomplish in the new year. Think, reflect, praise yourself, and take some new actions towards your goals. Have a great holiday season everyone. I look forward to connecting with you in 2015! Until next year...
