I was so excited yesterday when my new book, Love Yourself Slimmer came in the mail, hot off the press, if you will. I ordered myself 5 copies to have on hand, and they looked so beautiful. The cover is really pretty with my logo and everything. Then with the enthusiasm of a child on her birthday, I opened up the book and sighed.
The book did not look like what I submitted to the publishing company. The worksheets were not formatted correctly, quotes were broken up, and my heart sank for a minute. I worked really hard to get my new book all pretty and it turned out kinda poopy.
Then I took a breath and decided, "Oh well, at least I wrote another book, and the information is still really good."
After that, I did go online and write an email to the company to see what we can do to get this fixed. Hopefully it will be an easy fix, but I realized that sometimes you just gotta roll with it. It will be okay. I am choosing to not get super upset about it.
I am choosing to celebrate the fact that it is out there and available for those who need it, and they won't care if it doesn't look as gorgeous as I intended it to.
I suppose it was a bit of a lesson for me to surrender to that which I have no control over really. Where can you surrender in your life? It is very freeing to do so. Takes the pressure off for sure, and it shows me where I am still acting like a control freak in my own life.
Let go, let flow is my mantra today. Until we meet again.......go forth and flow.
A few days ago I announced that my new book, Love Yourself Slimmer was released and ready for the world to read. And I was excited! I still am, but a funny thing happened just this morning that I want to talk about for a minute because maybe you can relate.
You see, I found this morning a seed of doubt creeping into my awareness around whether or not my new book is "good enough", whether people will like it or even if it will help them. I started worrying about spelling errors that I might have missed and whether or not the final product will be formatted correctly.
Just a bunch of doubt.
Ever feel this way after you do something kinda big and different? Well I definitely was (and if I am being completely honest, still am just a bit). And you know what? It is okay. I would venture to say that this feeling is kinda normal even. Anytime you step outside of your comfort zone, there will be doubt. It didn't stop me from writing the book, so that is a good thing.
A lot of times, doubt and fear can be so strong that we don't even get out of the gate with our ideas. I am here to tell you that doubt and fear will always be around when you are up-leveling and making your dreams a reality. And that is perfect. Be careful to not allow those doubts and fears to paralyze you though. That is just your ego wanting guarantees that everything will be perfect.
But I challenge you to just enjoy the journey. You will not be the same person at the end of your quest. Enjoy the experience. Learn. Grow. Laugh. And just go for it. You will never know if you never try how wonderful your life can actually be.
Anyway, I wanted to share that we all go through it, and you are never alone. I am here for you if you need to talk. I know you can do anything you choose to do. I support you in your vision of awesomeness.

Hey everyone! It has been a while for me to write a blog post. Funny how life takes you in other directions sometimes. I have been busy writing my third book!! This book idea dropped into my awareness while I was on an online group coaching call. It just plopped into my noggin, and the rest is history.
Love Yourself Slimmer, the Energetic Approach to Releasing Weight is the culmination of years of work with private clients and frankly myself. I am always a guinea pig for my own healing practices. This book is about cultivating more love of self so that you can release the weight with more ease. This is not a diet. This is not an exercise regime. This is not any of those things, but it is a deep dive into you, your beliefs, your emotions, your internal programming.

Lately I have been thinking about how I have been labeling myself and putting myself in a box and the systems that do just that. For instance Astrology. Most people nowadays know their astrological sign, at least their sun sign. Some people, including myself have had their whole chart done based on their birthday and time of birth. I will admit that the characteristics of these astrological signs can be pretty darn interesting.
However, and this is what I have pondering as of late, I am a soul in this body having a human experience, at this time. Is my soul this astrological sign or is it just the me that is living on this planet now?
Interesting right? I think it is.
Let’s take Numerology as well. Numerology can be super fascinating just like Astrology, but it is also based on your birth date and your full name. Again Numerology can be really cool, but it is limited to just this life and not the thousands of others I have most likely had. Unless of course I always come in with the same Numerology and Astrology chart, which I highly doubt.
Moving on to the Human Design and Gene Keys. Cool ways to know yourself, but also based on this lifetime.
I am in no way saying that these systems are not valuable, so don’t get your panties in a twist. I am just saying they are limited to only this time and space. Maybe that is okay. Maybe that is all you want to know about yourself.
I happen to know that I am much bigger than this particular lifetime. My soul knows no bounds. My soul has lived in many, many bodies; different colors, different countries, different social classes, heck different planets even.
I don’t want to limit myself. I tend to find that all of the above mentioned systems are limiting. I have never quite fit in any of those molds actually. Maybe that is just me, but I have never once read any of my charts (and yes I have had all of the above charts done for myself) and thought that they were without a doubt spot on. Not once. And before you say it, I am not interested in any other charts or tests or anything to know myself more. I am good.
As of late I am tuning into my Higher Self, you know, my soul, for more and more guidance and inner knowing. She is the one who knows the most about, well, me. All the thousands of versions I have been, all the experiences I have had, adventures good and bad, personality quirks, everything.
If you feel called to know yourself more in this body, at this time that is cool. Ultimately it is your choice. Go for it. Do what lights you up. But remember that this body that your soul is hanging out in has been around the block a time or two. They know YOU best. Why not talk to them and find out who you truly ARE at soul level.
Just my two cents.
How many times have you thought, “If I just join a gym I will lose weight?” How many times have you joined a gym only to stop going after a few months, or maybe you do go and do the same sad workout, day after day, not seeing any significant results in the mirror?
It isn’t that exercise is bad. Movement that feels good, is so amazing for your body. An active lifestyle is even better than just a trip to the gym every other day. Building movement into your day helps your body burn those calories efficiently all day long.
But if you think that exercise alone will help you lose weight permanently, you will be disappointed. Exercise is but one ingredient in the weight loss formula. Exercise helps you feel stronger, more confident, burns calories, reduces stress hormones and helps your mind relax.
But weight issues are more complex than just throwing on walking shoes and going for a run. Weight issues have physical, mental, emotional and spiritual causes, and usually it is a combination of all of them. And just exercising is like putting a band-aid on a gunshot wound. It might help stop the bleeding, but you still have a deeper wound to heal.
And as we are each unique and divine, so is the root cause of our weight issues. You can have a physical body imbalance that triggers weight gain; even some medicines can cause your body to retain extra weight, but I find that there is always an emotional upset or trauma (real or perceived) that is the actual root cause from where the physical manifestations begin to blossom.
I often find that if you dig and dig some more, you will find that the root cause of weight issues (and quite frankly all health issues) is lack of love. Love of body. Love of self. Sounds kinda cheesy, but it is true.
Lack of love can look like a million different things; not feeling worthy, depression, low self esteem, sabotaging yourself, addictions (all of them), people pleasing, door mat, etc.
So you can go the gym like a boss, and cut all those carbs and you will see your body shrink most likely, as long as you are doing all those things. What happens when you stop cutting carbs though? You know what happens; you begin to put the weight right back on. This is because you have not gotten to the root of your particular weight issue, and the weight just keeps coming back not unlike a weed.
When we don’t truly and completely love our bodies, we can find ourselves constantly berating ourselves, quietly in the comfort of our own minds. If you walk by a mirror and think, “OMG, I am so fat...” how do you think your body will respond to that? Is this love and care? Yet we do this to our bodies all...the...time. It is not helpful.
And if you think about it like this, everything is energy. Everything has a vibration. This isn’t New Age stuff either; this is scientific fact. Everything has a frequency. Thoughts. Emotions. Objects. And if you are in a constant state of thinking bad thoughts about your stomach, your thighs, your butt, arms, chin, scars, stretch marks, cellulite, etc you are eating spoonful after spoonful of lower vibrational energy.
Love, however, is high vibe frequency; the highest. What if you thought loving, kind thoughts about your body, yourself, your life? How do you think that would feel? Which would you rather eat spoonfuls of? Love or hate? I know which one I prefer.
Let’s go back to the self loathing for a minute though. If you are thinking negatively about your body all throughout your day, how do you think it will affect you? Your mood? Do you think it would affect your food choices? The way you dress or carry yourself? Perhaps you would sit around more because, why bother? Or maybe it would get you fired up to make a resolution full of willpower and action (for a few weeks).
Do you see where weight issues are not as simple as go to the gym and eat more vegetables? I hope I have enlightened you on this. You gotta heal the root cause, and that root cause is ultimately healing your lack of love of your body.
When you can come into alignment with your body and body love, magic happens. The choices you begin to make are more effortless, flowing, feel really freaking good. You walk by a mirror and smile more. You begin to appreciate all that your body has done and does for you every moment of every day. You feel more confident in your skin.
Yes there is deep healing that needs to happen, but you see this as self love vs. sheer will of force.

How are they workin for you?
Has anything shifted, changed, gotten better?
If so, sweet. Keep on doing them.
But if you are like me, and affirmations have been kinda “meh” for you, then listen up.
If you are lost, let me explain what an affirmation is. An affirmation is a positive statement that is your goal, ie “I am rich”, “I am healthy”, “I am living the life of my dreams”.
You get the idea.
The thing about affirmations is that you are trying to affirm and change your unconscious program by repeating over and over what you want.
Now there is absolutely nothing wrong with this, so don’t get your knickers in twist if you love affirmations.
Like I said before, if they are working for you, keep doing them.
The problem with affirmations in my view is that your mind does not believe it (yet). It may take a long time of repeating the affirmations, writing them down, posting them everywhere for your mind to finally begin to shift.
I would like to offer another suggestion for those of us that don’t really resonate with affirmations all that much.
Are you ready?
May I introduce to you “Afformations”. I discovered afformations around 8 months ago, and I love them so much.
What the heck is an Afformation you ask?
An Afformation is an empowering question that you ask yourself.
You see, your mind is always looking for answers. Your mind likes to solve problems.
You are asking yourself questions all the time, but the questions you are asking are probably disempowering.
Questions like, “Why am I overweight? Why am I broke? Why can’t I attract the perfect relationship?”
These are disempowering and keep your mind finding reasons to support these questions. Which means you just keep on affirming lack, not having and unhappiness.
Now I did not create Afformations. Noah St. John did. Gotta give him props for these.
So how do you begin asking empowering questions so that you can begin bringing in more wealth, health and love?
Change your internal questions so your mind can begin automatically helping you.
Wouldn't that be nice to have your mind actually helping you??
Let’s take one of the above limiting, disempowering questions and turn it into an Afformation.
Let’s take, “Why am I overweight?” All you need to do is begin asking yourself, “Why is it so easy for me to lose weight (get fit, get stronger, etc)?”
Doesn’t that feel better. Your mind instead of instantly poo-poo-ing the questions, begins to search for answers and then like magic, your awareness opens up for new opportunities for change.
You still have to take new actions, but your mind is instantly on board and ready to work with you instead of looking for reasons why an affirmation won’t work.
Don’t take my word for it though. Try this for yourself.
Check out the book Afformations by Noah St. John to learn more (and no I am not getting paid to say that). This book gives lots of information and examples to pick from, or you can make up your own.
We are so much more than our physical bodies. We are souls in bodies having human experiences, on this planet, at this time.
We all have had experiences, billions of them in this life alone. If you think about all the lifetimes with all the billions of experiences, that is a whole heap of stuff.
Now think about all of your past experiences that may have hurt you, where you have gone through tough situations. Probably at least a few come to mind, right?
And think about for just a moment how maybe, just maybe you have experiences in other lifetimes that were less than pleasant. Perhaps a lot of suffering, illnesses, untimely deaths, murdered even, persecuted, starved, etc.
Okay, let’s delete all that now. Whew!
My point here is not to dredge up your past or make you feel like crap. My point is to illustrate how your experiences no matter if in this life or before, have shaped who you are right now. I know that for me, I would not be the strong, independent chick I am had I not gone through my wacky, highly dysfunctional childhood.
I will add here that on some level I actually chose it all anyways, so I knew what I was getting into when I came here this go around, even if I didn’t remember consciously. But that is another story altogether.
Back on topic now. So we can safely assume from the above information that we might have lots and lots of unresolved traumas, experiences, past life stuff (technical term) that are waiting to be resolved, healed and released.
Do you think that all of these unresolved traumas can possible effect our bodies?
Do you think that all of the experiences we have consciously and unconsciously swept under the rug because we just couldn’t deal with them, could possibly effect how we show up in the world, our relationships, self esteem, our health, our weight?
I do, 100%. I believe that all of those past unresolved emotions, beliefs, experiences are very much alive and well and living in our cells, our chakras, our energy bodies, our DNA and they are keeping us stuck, blocked, sick and unhappy.
But don’t lose hope, because I also happen to know that you are a powerful creator just as I am a powerful creator. And as powerful creators, we can heal ourselves on every level of our being. We have just forgotten our power. We have forgotten that we can absolutely heal ourselves. We have forgotten that we hold the key to our health and happiness within ourselves.
For me, energy healing is the way to begin clearing up and cleaning out all of the inner resistance, stuck emotions, tired and outdated belief patterns, old programing, limiting thoughts, so that we can move into a stronger connection with our bodies, minds and spirits.
When we can clear up all of that sluggish energy, we are able to tap into better health and wellness, more clarity, greater appreciation for our bodies, more confidence and a deeper connection with God (Source, Creator, Universe, etc).
It takes courage to begin this journey and re-claiming of your inner power and strength, but it is so worth it. I can help you.
You can wish yourself thinner all day long,
If you are all wishes and no actions, you will be wishing and hoping and thinking and praying, planning and dreaming all day long.....

I was doing so well writing a blog. I was all consistent and everything. I am not sure where it fell to shit, but there ya go. It has been a while, but now I am back baby! It is 2019! Crazy to think the holidays are behind us, and we are well into January.
I had company for almost three weeks during Christmas, and it felt like I just dropped off the face of the world. I didn't do a whole lot in my business including scrolling Facebook. I think it has lost the appeal it once had. So I find myself with a lot of time to fill doing something else.
Funny how such little things like Facebook can suck the time away. How much time are you on Facebook or any other social media site for that matter? A lot I bet. We say there isn't enough time in the day to do this or that (exercise, prepare healthy meals, read, unwind), but then we scroll and scroll and scroll some more on social media. And you know what? Sometimes scrolling makes you feel bad or you begin comparing yourself to others. I mean look at all the posts. They show people's selfies depicting these lives that are in all honesty, probably not half as awesome as they are portrayed. It is madness really.
I have set the intention to not be on Facebook as much. I post my wares, then I hop right on off. I might do a live, and interact a bit, but that is it. And guess what? I feel pretty okay. I don't feel like I am missing anything at all. I actually have been practicing my Spanish on a cool app. I have been writing more, dreaming bigger for myself and other stuff.
I am not telling you to get off social media. Not at all. If you love it, and it fills you up ; have at it. But if you find that you are using the 'ol "I don't have enough time in my day" excuse, maybe take a look at where you are allowing your time and energy to be sucked.
