2/4/2018 0 Comments empowered or a victim? As I was scrolling Facebook this morning, as I often do first thing with a nice cup of coffee, I kept seeing posts about being a victim. I often see a trend of posts in Facebook-landia, where lots of folks seem to be talking about the same topic. And let me say that there are a lot of victim posts on FB for sure. I see them, and I can feel them. This energy of "send me healing, I need your help (for free cause I am not going to schedule a session with you)". I have to say at times these kinds of posts trigger me. I admit it. Partly because my business is helping women become empowered. And seeing these same folks end their request with "many blessings or namaste" bugs me. It does. We all need help from time to time. We all need support and love and kindness. But I believe we are ALL powerful creators, and we can change anything we choose (we gotta get off the couch though). I cannot tell you how many times I see people asking for help (for free), yet they are scrolling FB all day long, hopping on every free healing thread there is. That is disempowering for sure. I feel like if you are truly serious about creating a life you love and you need help, you will actually reach into your wallet and pay for a session with someone. It is an energetic exchange. And if you have a phone or a computer and you have internet (hence you are scrolling social media all day), then you can find the money to pay someone for a session. I don't mean to come off harsh and careless. I actually care a great deal. I am so passionate about helping people create the health and body they love, and I know that YOU are powerful. I know that you hold the key to YOUR happiness in every choice you make. And then I was thinking about those folks on the opposite end of the spectrum. The ones that have session after session with healers and coaches, finding new blocks to clear, new oaths to release, new things to "heal". These folks are happy to give you money to fix them, to get that next layer of stuff that is coming up, again holding them back from creating a life, a body they love. I have to say that I feel this is a different kind of disempowering. This says in order to be happy (insert your feeling here) I have to heal more, get activated more, more more more. Does this make sense? What if we just decided that we were happy right now, and then went off and experienced happiness? What if we focused on having joyful, loving experiences, went out and had said loving experiences, and if something comes up for us we just find someone to help us out (paying them of course because we honor that this may be their livelihood and we respect their work)and then we did our own inner work and went off and had more loving experiences? I do not think or feel we are here on this planet to suffer (unless we choose to). I think we are here to experience whatever we choose to experience. We can choose love and joy. We can choose disempowerment and suffering. We are the powerful creators in our own life. We get to choose!! A bit of a rant today, and not really on topic of weight loss. But maybe it is if I stop and think about it a bit more. I mean I cannot lose weight for you, and you cannot lose weight for me. Even I paid you, you still cannot lose weight for me. But if we work together, and I do my inner work, then I can choose and move into the new experiences of a slimmer, healthier body. Boom, totally tied that up with a ribbon. Moral of this long story, step up, do your work (getting help as you need it), make new choices, and go be happy!
