So, two weeks ago we got a puppy. Her name is Lucy, and she's the cutest little puppy in the world. When we got her, I knew that she would need a lot of training because she is, well a puppy. But what I didn't realize at the time was how much my life would change as a result of adopting this little ball of fur.
Ever since we adopted Lucy, I am going outside so much more. I guess I didn't realize how much time I spend inside. Now I am going outside like every hour, which is awesome. All that fresh air and bird song. Wow! I was missing out.
I am also moving my body way more. I am taking Lucy for walks and running around with her outside. Just wonderful.
And the naps! I had forgotten how amazing it is to take a little snooze with a cute little puppy on my chest.
But the best thing I think about having a puppy is the amount of time I am spending with her just being in the moment and playing. I am not scrolling social media like I once was. When I do go online, I am so much more focused. I know that this little fur ball is only going to allow me a few moments of peace before she needs something (much like a baby, or a toddler actually).
What a gift Lucy is to me and my family! Until next time.....
