2/3/2018 0 Comments weekend habitsIt is Saturday. Weekends can be busy for me, can be relaxing for me, and weekends can be hard for me. Often I have kid stuff going on, which constitutes the busy side of things. Also there always seems to be laundry, cleaning and grocery shopping to do on the weekends. I also enjoy a good nap on the weekends, especially on Sundays. And throw in some rain, and that is the making of a great lazy day. But weekends can also be challenging for me to eat healthier and move my body. You would think it would be easier to exercise and eat well on the weekends given the extra time, but for me not so much. The whole family is home, we are running here and there, there may or may not be food in the house (I usually shop on Sundays), and sometimes I am just incredibly lazy (I own that). As I am moving through my own weight loss journey, I am becoming super aware of my own triggers and habits that I can look at and shift so that I can continue on my path to being the healthiest version of ME. Noticing and acknowledging those habits (with love of course) goes a long way to help us see what we need to focus on next. What are your habits that may not be serving your goal of releasing weight? Today I shall exercise early in the day. That way I can relax a bit this afternoon knowing I moved and grooved already. Remember the idea is not to berate yourself, but build in routines and habits that feel really good!!
